If you are interested in changing your lifestyle and incorporated heart-healthy principals into your life, than you will want to get a copy of this book.  It is full of practical advice covering not only diet and exercise, but also lifestyle issues such as stress.  It including heart-healthy recipes that actually taste good as well.  You don’t need to have had a heart attack or have heart disease to benefit from this book.  It is full of prevention tips and the benefits of living a healthy lifestyle. I found it a very beneficial read.

    This book has everything you need to know to develop a successful strength training program without spending a fortune on equipment or a personal trainer. I am not an exercise nut. I am a professional man and spend my spare time with my family. I just don’t have a lot of time to devote to working out.   I was looking for a practical book that I could use to improve the weights workout I had been doing for several months, but would allow me to spend no more than an hour or so in the gym every day. This book delivered and revolutionized my routine.

      This is a very solid step by step fitness book. The way this book is organized and structured makes it easy to use and refer to. Very good exercises.  It is like working with my own personal trainer! With clear instructions and photographs the author helps you to set your own pace. He also gives advice on other weight loss issues like diet, sleep, and aerobic exercise.  This is a great resource for both men and women.

        I highly recommend this book for individuals, small groups, and churches.  It’s a simple guidebook to help you get healthy and stay that way. Rather than a trendy fad diet, this plan has been based on Biblical reference and applies to people living thousands of years ago.  The concept of the book is rooted in Daniel 1:11-13 and Daniel 10:2-3 when Daniel fasts, prays, and eats food from seeds. The authors promote the idea of a 40- day modified “fast” based on these verses, where you eat vegetables, fruits, whole grains, nuts, seeds, and healthy fats and meats. It’s a healthy eating plan and encourages community. Try it – you’ll notice a positive difference in your lifestyle when you applying the principals.
