I love this book. It has wonderful photographs,  step-by-step instructions,  and is filled with flavor, style. and wisdom based on past traditions and common sense—the wisdom that we crave.  The authors take us from the local community and the garden to the kitchen and the table with a collection of delicious, nutritious, traditionally prepared fermented recipes.  This book is easy enough for beginners, yet diverse enough for the seasoned cook.   One of the things I liked best is that they gave instructions on how to make small batches as I don’t always can for the masses as I used to.
